Ali Pervaiz Malik is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister of State for Finance, Revenue, and Power, in office since 17 May 2024. Previously, he had been a member of the National Assembly from August 2018 to August 2023.

Mr. Masood Nabi is the CEO of Government Holdings (Private) Ltd (GHPL), a Pakistani state-owned entity with investments in upstream E&P, LNG, oil & gas infrastructure, and mining sectors. He is also CEO of GHPL’s subsidiary and Pakistan’s only integrated LNG sector company, Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL). Both PLL and GHPL operate under the governance of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) of Pakistan. Prior to joining GHPL Mr. Nabi was at Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd. (OGDCL), the largest E&P company in Pakistan, where he served as an Executive Director since 2009. Mr. Nabi has also served as Executive Director General / CTO of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. Having served at such key positions, Mr. Nabi has a deep understanding of Pakistan’s Oil and Gas / Energy sectors. Mr. Nabi holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Abbasy is a seasoned industry professional with diverse, multinational experience of 35 years with several mid-and large-sized Exploration and Production companies as well as a major service company. Having worked in various technical and leadership roles in assets in the North Sea, Middle East, Australia, Indonesia and PNG he joined PPL in his current role in 2022. Mr. Abbasy is also a director of the wholly-owned subsidiaries PPL Asia E&P B.V. and PPL Europe E&P Limited. Mr. Abbasy earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1981 followed by a master’s in Aerospace Engineering in 1983 both from The George Washington University, USA.

Cathy Marsh, a British national, is Deputy Director General of the Private Sector Operations Department at Asian Development Bank (ADB),and joined ADB in August 2018. Prior to joining ADB, Cathy spent 25 years in private practice (including as a Partner of the US law firm Milbank from 2004 to 2013), focusing on development and project financing throughout her career. Cathy completed her BA (Hons) in International Relations and European Studies with French at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom in 1990, and her Common Professional Examination and College of Law Finals from the College of Law in London in 1992 and 1993, respectively.
Tim Cribb is the Project Director of the Reko Diq Copper Gold Project in Pakistan. Tim joined Barrick in 2017, working as the Mine Manager and General Manager Operations of Barrick’s Porgera Gold Mine. He has extensive operational and project experience in the mining sector, having worked in Australia, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He previously worked at MMG Limited, as the General Manager Operations of the Golden Grove Copper, Lead, Silver, Zinc and Gold mine in Western Australia and the Operations Manager of the Sepon Copper Gold Mine in Laos. Tim holds bachelor’s degrees in science and engineering from the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Finance from the University of South Australia.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science from Murdoch University in Western Australia, a Masters in Hydrogeology and Water Management from the University of Technology, Sydney, and an MBA from Murdoch University. Dr. Hamid Ashraf is a highly accomplished professional with a PhD in Mineral Policy Development, Mineral Resource Management, and Mining Cadastre Systems from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. With a multifaceted career spanning civil engineering, academia, and geospatial technologies, Dr. Ashraf has emerged as a leading figure in mineral resource management, policy development, and geospatial hazard assessment. Currently, Dr. Ashraf is at the forefront of Pakistan’s government initiatives to harmonize the mineral regulatory framework with global best practices and revitalize the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP). He is leading the accelerated geological mapping and mineral exploration program, aimed at unlocking Pakistan’s vast mineral potential. In addition, he serves as the Head of the Department of Mineral Resource Management at the NUST Balochistan Campus, where he has played a pivotal role in establishing the department and launching postgraduate programs (MS and PhD) in record time. His research focuses on mineral policy development, mining cadastre systems, geospatial modeling of mining risks, and geospatial hazard assessment using remote sensing and GIS technologies. Dr. Ashraf has spearheaded several transformative projects, including the establishment of Pakistan’s first-ever Mining Cadastre System for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, a landmark achievement that has revolutionized the country’s mineral sector. His expertise in gap analysis of mineral policies in Balochistan and KP has provided critical insights for policy refinement and implementation. In addition to his policy and academic contributions, Dr. Ashraf has conducted avalanche risk assessments in the Himalayas and Karakoram Ranges and is actively involved in geospatial modeling of mine collapse risks as part of the Digimine Research Group at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has also served as a member of the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Gem & Jewellery (PM-TF-J&G) and led feasibility studies on capacity enhancement in Pakistan’s mining industry. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at BUITEMS. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from UET Peshawar and completed his Master’s and Doctorate at Hanyang University, South Korea. He further pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering, USM, Malaysia. With over 17 years of academic and professional experience, Dr. Rehman has actively contributed to international research projects and has a strong background in both surface and underground excavation. He has worked with national (government and private) and international organizations in the fields of mining and excavation. Dr. Rehman has an impressive research portfolio, having published more than 45 papers in well-reputed international journals over the last five years, primarily focusing on mining and rock engineering.
