Wael is a practiced consultant with over 13 years of experience helping mining companies, financial institutions and governments to foster equitable mining sectors and practices. Wael joined Wood Mackenzie in 2022 as principal in the metals and mining consulting team. Over his tenure, he has advised industry leaders on how to navigate the energy & materials revolution our society faces as the world decarbonizes towards a net-zero future. Wael began his career in Equity Research (Mining & Metals) with GMP Securities in London, and prior to joining Wood Mackenzie spent several years in Management Consulting with Booz & Company (Energy, Utilities & Mining) and Dassault Systemes (Mining & Metals) in Dubai.
