Nawab Muhammad Abid Zubair is a mine operations and project management expert with over 15 years of experience in the mining, geology, and technical services industry. He has played a pivotal role in mine development, hydrogeological investigations, and resource management, contributing to some of Pakistan’s most significant mining projects. He has worked as Manager Geology & Hydrogeology at Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC), where he led the Thar Coal Project from feasibility to operation. His expertise in mine dewatering, groundwater modeling, and geological exploration helped optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, he served as Senior Hydrogeologist at Barrick Gold’s Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project, overseeing hydrogeological investigations, dewatering strategies, and resource evaluation. Currently, he is a Project Manager at National Resource (Pvt) Limited, managing mineral exploration and development in Chagai, Balochistan. With a strong command over project management, geological modeling, and stakeholder engagement, Nawab Abid is committed to driving sustainable and efficient mining operations. He holds a Master’s in Geology (Hydrogeology & Engineering Geology) from the University of Karachi and is a certified hydrogeologist with international qualifications in mining operations and project management.
