Munib Hussain is a partner in the London office of Milbank LLP (a leading international law firm), a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group, and leads the firm’s EMEA mining practice. He has significant expertise in advising lenders, sponsors, and sovereigns on “first-of-a-kind” international projects, energy and infrastructure financings in the mining, oil and gas and power sectors, and in particular specializes in multi-sourced financings involving Islamic banks and institutions, export credit agencies, multilateral development finance institutions, and commercial banks. He is also a member of the Islamic Finance Business Unit and has advised on a number of sharia’a-compliant project financings. Munib is recognized by all the leading project finance legal directories and specifically noted as an expert on Islamic finance, energy and power, and emerging markets. He has contributed many articles which have appeared in publications such as International Comparative Legal Guide, International Financial Law Review, and The Islamic Finance and Markets Law Review. Munib is admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
