Lauri Pesonen joined Metso in 2007 as a process engineer. In the last 20 years Lauri has worked actively on numerous projects around the world and promoted especially the flash smelting technology for the sustainable production of copper. Nowadays Lauri is based in the Metso main office in Espoo Finland and is responsible for Smelting Business Line Sales globally. Lauri has a Master’s Degree on Metallurgy from Aalto University and MBA from Hult International Business School.
